The MOBOTIX camera has a unique new design and features a variety of innovations without the need to install additional software components:

• optimized automatic exposure based on to user-definable image areas for exposure & white balance
• digital MOBOTIX image optimizer for brilliant color images
• dual lens system for parallel wide-angle and zoom images
• dual lens system with two identical lenses for brilliant daylight and infrared images (M1M-Night)
• power supply through the network or ISDN connection allows for centralized uninterruptible power supply
• time and event-controlled image storage either internally or on file servers
• integrated ISDN port for simultaneous dial-in for remote administration and dial-out to the Internet
• time and event-controlled home page updates via FTP and email-based image distribution
• integrated audio channel for event control and audio storage (soon to come)
• weatherproof IP65 outdoor design (-20 to +60 °C; -4 to 140 °F) with integrated wall mount
• computer-adjusted lenses at the factory reduce installation and maintenance costs
